The planting area of morchella in Sichuan province dominates other areas in China

In recent years, departments concerned in Sichuan province focus on studying artificial cultivation techniques of morchella. Now “Chuan Morchella 1”is invented. The cultivation technique of morchella invented by edible fungus of Mianyang was exported to France, and received French scientific and technological progress award. With the constant development of artificial cultivation techniques of morchella, the planting area of morchella in Sichuan is more than 5000 mu, making up more than 80% of the whole nationwide planting area. At present, the market price is about 150 yuan per kilogram, and the average output value per mu is up to 30,000 yuan, with the maximum value of 70,000 yuan.
